Heavy Hearts release new single 'Cut Too Deep'
Posted 09.13.18Heavy Hearts has released “Cut Too Deep”, their first new track since releasing their sophomore EP On A Chain in 2017. “Cut Too Deep” is available as both a 2-track digital single (alongside an alternate version of “Yur Head”) and as a limited run 7” flexi. The 7” flexi is now available to purchase and will also be available to purchase at this year’s Hope Fest in Waterloo when the band performs on September 22
"Cut Too Deep took a long time to figure out what direction it was going in,” comments Heavy Hearts vocalist Justin Glatt. “The demo was reworked about 3 times and then completely rewritten again while we were recording it. It took forever and we all got pretty pissed at ourselves but the song finally ended up finding its own vibe.”
Hailing from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Heavy Hearts made waves on the alternative rock scene in 2016 with the release of a self-titled EP and their first full-length record, Bliss, which were welcomed with rave reviews. Tapping into their influences of early 2000’s emo and ‘90’s alternative rock, the band delivers a unique and intense sound full of effects-laden guitars and emotive vocals that put them into the same conversations with bands like Balance and Composure, Citizen and Turnover among others.
